Business Development Manager - £80,000 - £100,000 + Bonus - London

Position Summary:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales of our client’s Electronic trading portfolio. Leveraging your "hunting" skills and an established network, you'll be responsible for meeting revenue goals, negotiating customer contracts, and articulating the company's value proposition through consultative sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed revenue goals set by Senior Management.

  • Conduct customer contract negotiations within pre-approved gross margin parameters.

  • Articulate the company's value proposition through a consultative sales approach.

  • Understand financial industry market structure and current trends.

  • Establish and qualify pipeline, engaging appropriate resources to develop technical requirements and solutions.

Desirable Experience/Skills/Qualifications:


  • 5 to 8 years of technical sales experience.

  • 3 to 5 years selling to the financial sell side and buy side vertical markets.

  • Speak fluently in the financial industry capital markets trading vernacular.

  • Solution sales skills.

  • Excellent grammar, written and oral communication skills.

  • High-level understanding of computer networking technology and industry trends.

  • Experience in consultative sales within a service-based organisation.


  • Experience selling Latency sensitive Network Services Products to financial markets participants.

  • Degree level education.

  • Experience working for a Network, Systems Integration, Computer Hardware/Software Reseller, or Managed Services Provider.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and processes.

  • Experience in selling technology or technology services.
