Our search is for a Market Data Support Engineer who will be working within a successful Market Data Support team. Your Opportunity as a Market Data Engineer:
As a Market Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing market data systems to support the firm's trading and investment operations.
You will work closely with traders, quant researchers, and technology teams to ensure that market data is accurate, reliable, and accessible in real time.
Implement data quality checks and validation processes.
Work with large data sets to extract meaningful insights.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies.
As a Market Data Engineer you should be able to demonstrate experience in one or more of the following areas/skill sets:
Market Data infrastructures delivering Real-Time Market Data to customers and vendors such as (but not limited to) Refinitiv TREP and Bloomberg BPIPE.
Real-Time and Snapshot Market Data Publishing and Contributions technologies such as (but not limited to) Refinitiv CONTEX, Refinitiv RCC and Bloomberg MPF service.
Hands-on, advanced management of distribution technologies leveraging various file transfer services i.e. SFTP, HTTPS, AWS.
Utilising programming languages such as PowerShell and Python and the management of a market data tick capture service (like but not limited to) Onetick, Velocity, KxDb etc.
Real-time data capture and data quality assurance, utilising tick capture technologies, data warehousing and data monitoring/analytics skills/toolsets, such as (but not limited to) ITRS Genios, AWS, Google.
Other Advantageous Skills:
Strong Excel skills (including formulas and pivot tables).
Good understanding/knowledge of FIX, UPA/ETA protocols.
Excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to think “outside the box”.
The ability to create and share complex solutions to technical and non-technical audiences to tight deadlines.
