TRM-International are delighted to be hiring for a leading FinTech organisation which specialises in the trading and financial markets. Our search is for a Quantitative Developer who will use their development skills to contribute to the company’s money broking and commercial data sales business.


This is an exciting opportunity for you as a Quantitative Excel Developer to integrate into a leading and established organisation and make a difference. The opportunity will allow for long-term career progression along-side a technical team.



Your Opportunity as a Quantitative Developer:

  • Exposure to the latest technology and software.

  • Exposure to Excel-based financial applications to support the company’s money broking and commercial data sales businesses.

  • Exposure to in-house XLL analytics library’s capabilities and how those are applied in the above applications to bootstrap curves and price financial derivatives.

  • To modify the above applications’ Excel formula and VBA in line with market evolution and the development objectives.

  • Designing and creating new applications as required and directed.

  • To be involved in the investigation, diagnosis and rectification of reported suspected errors in application function or output data.


As a Quantitative Developer you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Formal software development training.

  • Professional software development experience including object oriented and functional development patterns.

  • Experience of creating software applications for non-technical users.

  • User requirements gathering (use case analysis, layout design, etc.).

  • User interface programming using Excel/VBA event handling.

  • Excel as a real-time dynamic data environment.

  • A graduate-level or equivalent qualification in a mathematics-based (e.g science, engineering or statistics) or significant relevant experience of applying mathematical knowledge in the workplace.

  • A good understanding of financial derivatives (swaps, futures, options) and key trading concepts (arbitrage, fair-value pricing, hedging).

  • Ability to perform in pressurised environments.
