TRM-International is delighted to be working on behalf of a prestigious global trading house. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Analytics Operator to join the team. The role is within a world-renowned trading house that deals in a diverse range of financial products, including equities, bonds, and derivatives.
As a Junior Analytics Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the trading team by providing valuable insights and data-driven analysis to inform decision-making. Your Opportunity as a Junior Analytics Operator :
Comprehending the function of various Excel-based financial applications utilized for promoting the company’s money broking and commercial data sales business.
Tracking user sessions and crucial application health statistics.
Participating in diagnosing, investigating, and resolving issues related to application function or output data.
Supporting brokers with concerns concerning data quality and publication from broker-facing applications when necessary.
Creating management data reports on a regular and ad hoc basis pertaining to analytics application usage and commercial data generation, as instructed.
Encouraging and disseminating best practices among the team.
As a Junior Analytics Operator, you should be able to demonstrate experience in one or more of the following areas/skill sets:
Strong work and teamwork ethic with a committed approach to completing tasks together.
Eagerness and aptitude for acquiring knowledge and skills.
Effective written and verbal communication abilities in the English language.
Proficiency in interpersonal skills and the ability to manage challenging and stressed individuals.
Capability to function effectively in a high-pressure setting.
Knowledge of the functioning of a dealing/broking floor is desirable, ideally based on previous experience.
Familiarity with fundamental types of wholesale financial instruments such as swaps, futures, foreign exchange spots and forwards is desirable.
A graduate-level degree or equivalent qualification is preferable but not a requirement.
Understanding financial derivatives (swaps, futures, options) and crucial trading concepts such as arbitrage, fair-value pricing, and hedging would be an advantage.
