
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fixed Income Product Manager to join a dynamic team. This critical role will involve overseeing the development and management of their fixed-income product offerings and playing a vital role in driving their business growth. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in fixed-income markets, a strong understanding of market data needs, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex product portfolios.
Job Requirements & Responsibilities: To include but not limited to:
Develop and execute a strategic vision for our fixed-income product suite, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
● Be responsible for marketing your product, internally and externally.
● Visit clients on a regular basis to understand their data needs, solicit feedback and be the product expert for your asset class.
● Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
● Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data providers, technology, sales, and marketing, to ensure the successful development, implementation, and ongoing management of fixed-income products.
● Define and prioritize product requirements, ensuring they meet client expectations, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
● Drive the product development lifecycle, from concept ideation to product launch, closely monitoring project timelines, deliverables, and budget constraints.
● Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to internal teams and clients on fixed-income market dynamics, data requirements, and industry trends.
● Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry associations, and data providers, to foster collaboration and gain insights into evolving customer needs.
● Monitor product performance and market feedback, utilizing data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous product enhancements.
● Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies within the fixed-income space, ensuring our product offerings remain innovative and competitive.
● Responsible for all products within Fixed Income such as sovereign bonds, gilts and corporate bonds.
● Be proactive and attend relevant conferences.
● Be able to determine demand for specific products.
Education, Skills & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CFA) is a plus.
● Deep knowledge of market data and the business of selling data.
● Extensive experience in fixed-income product management, preferably within a market data firm or financial services organization.
● Deep understanding of fixed-income markets, including credit and fixed income, FX and money markets, interest rate derivatives, and energy and commodities.
● Solid understanding of technology: A detailed understanding of the trading systems, databases and technology that take our data from a desk to a commercial product, including direct and vendors (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.).
● Ability to be the ambassador for your asset class product.
● Ability to work closely with sales to properly price new and existing products in your asset class.
● Ability to formulate and sell a strategy/plan (to sales/management), then manage the complex product portfolios from inception to launch and ongoing management.
● Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
● Ability to conduct extensive market research.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and engage with clients at all levels.
● Demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
● Solid project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
